WSR SG2012. Passing 7828 Norton Manor by Tyrie2001 WSR SG2012. Passing 7828 Norton Manor by Tyrie2001
Shot taken of 7828 Norton Manor at Williton station, from the window of a passing passenger train

Built by British Railways in Swindon during the 1950, the Manor Class locomotive 7828 was originally named "Odney Manor". During an overhaul at Minehead though, a decision was made to temporarily rename the locomotive to "Norton Manor", to mark the WSR's association with their neighbours at the Norton Manor camp, home of the 40 Commando RM
