Shot of BR standard class 7, No 70000 Britannia, at Minehead station, during the West Somerset Railways 2012 Spring Steam Gala.
Following a spell in black, Britannia has now been repainted in BR Brunswick Green, with an early BR crest/emblem. She is also currently has a white cab roof.
The white cab roof is due to her having pulled the Royal Train, with Prince Charles on board to Wakefield Kirkgate station, where he rededicated the locomotive. From what I've heard, the roof is apparently due to be repainted black sometime in April
Prior to this trip, the last time she had a white cab roof was during the 50's/60's, back when she was still in service. This was to commemorate her pulling the funeral train of King George VI, from Norfolk to London, following his death in February 1952 at Sandringham House, Norfolk.
